THE 3 PILLARS

Work Readiness

“A set of skills, knowledge and personal attributes that make individuals more likely to secure and be successful in their chosen occupation(s) to the benefit of themselves, the workforce, the community and the economy.”
M. Yorke, 2006.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is the process of discovering new ways of combining resources.

Entrepreneurial spirit is characterized by innovation and risk-taking, and is an essential part of a nation’s ability to succeed in an ever changing and increasingly competitive global marketplace.

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is two-dimensional. (a) It involves understanding basic financial concepts and the ability and discipline to make wise financial decisions about spending, saving, managing a budget, choosing the right financial products, risk management, and readiness to address other life events, such as financing studies, and planning for retirement. (b) Financial literacy is also about exercising judgment when offered access to credit and possessing the wisdom to understand how much enough is and how much is too much.
